Coffee sludge contains caffeine, antioxidants and various nutrients. It can be made for face and body care, hair care and it is effective in combating cellulite. It is great in removing bad smells, like garlic from hands or smell from the shoes. While cooking, some foods can leave a strong smell on your hands. Cleaning garlic or fish is especially problematic, so rub a lit bit of ground coffee with your hands, and rinse it with water to remove unwanted odors.
Coffee facial scrub will remove dead cells, narrow pores, soften wrinkles and tighten skin. In doing so, it will protect it from harmful free radicals. Coffee is also famous in removing dark circles around your eyes after just a few treatments.
Caffeine is a powerful antioxidant, and also improves circulation when applied directly to the skin. Additionally, caffeine has a lipolytic effect. This means that it breaks down fat from fat cells and thus helps in the fight against cellulite.
I am using it as an exfoliator, scrub, face mask as well to get rid of dark circles underneath my eyes for which I guarantee it is a very effective method.
Exfoliation
Mix a coffee sludge with honey or brown sugar and create a scrub that you can use for your body and face that will give your skin a wonderful glow. Also, this scrub is great for cellulite.
Hair mask
This mask is very simple. Rub the precipitate on the scalp and let it sit for a while. Blondes should avoid this treatment, but to everyone else after it, the hair will be shiny and supple.
Get rid of dark circles under eyes
Needed: cup of coffee, toilet paper or towel, scissors.
Fold the toilet paper three times and cut it to get the shape of the area under the eyes. Cut more pieces, then dip them into the coffee, put them in foil and store in the freezer. Put these cold liners under the eyes every morning.
Face scrub
Ingredients: 3 tablespoons of fresh coffee, tablespoons of olive or coconut oil, tablespoons of brown sugar
Mix the precipitate with sugar, then add the oil. Apply in a circular motion and massage gently, then rinse with lukewarm water. It removes dead skin cells and stimulates the formation of new ones. Great for dry and lifeless skin.
Face Mask
For face mask, I am using 3 tablespoons of fresh coffee, tablespoons of Argan Oil, which even has an anti-age effect.
You can use any oil that you like, or even skip it. Leave a mask at least 20 minutes then wash your face with water.
